  Rafael Courtoisie was invited by the Department of Romance Languages and Literature, he is considered one of the most intriguing, prolific, and innovative authors of Latin American literature today. His poetry and prose offer a rare combination of linguistic precision and lyric imagination. He has received a number of grants and international awards for his creative work, and is currently a resident fellow at the International writing Program at the University of Iowa.
Rafael Courtoisie has published, among other titles, the following books:
